About Bertram
Hi! My name is Bertram or Bert for short and it just flows off your lips like honey, which is good as I am a sweet boy. After a rough start in life I am looking for somewhere to put down roots and share the love. My foster mum says I am affectionate and just love getting all the attention I can get and handsome with it and other nice things, too. I am learning to walk on the lead and other basic commands but I am a work in progress as they say! am not a fussy boy at all with food or the sleeping arrangements. I like running around outside with the other dogs and am not aggressive with them. In fact, food being no problem I am inclined to help the others eat their food if not watched! Did I mention I love kids? I am also an extrovert and like putting myself about a bit. I am a confident little bloke and am quite energetic and do enjoy chewing toys and splashing round in the shell pool when the weather is nice. I think I would like a place to call home where the people were home most of the time. I sleep through the night outside and don’t mind a car ride. I am easy to train so if you would like a sweet little chap in your life, Apply to adopt today and mention my name. Go on, you know you want to.
Want to know more about how you teach a pup to be a great dog? I’d like to do training every day so that I learn the commands of sit, stay, come, down, no, stop and leave it. And once I’ve learnt them, I need to keep practicing them every day too. That way I’ll learn to obey what you tell me to do. Being consistent and clear with your boundaries will mean I always know the right way to behave. Getting out to exercise at least once a day (and twice for working dog breeds) is vital to stimulate my brain and body. It creates important opportunities for me to meet strangers, other dogs and other animals, plus it tires me out! Tell me “no” if I’m chewing something I shouldn’t and give me a chew toy instead. I’d love to have a range of chew toys that you can swap around so I don’t get bored with them.
I CAN FLY TO PERTH!
Flying for a few hours is very important for animals in remote locations, because it gives us the opportunity to be adopted. Talk to SAFE about flying me to you in Perth.
