About Wallaby
Wallaby is my name and getting adopted is my game!
I am a very distinguished gentleman on the lookout for my forever home. I was surrendered to the shelter through no fault of my own, and unfortunately when I arrived, I was a little worse for wear. I have since recovered from my cat flu and flea allergy dermatitis and am back to my normal, handsome, chatty self! But since I have previously had these conditions, I wouldn't want another flare up down the line; the best way to prevent this is to keep me as an indoors only cat. That way I am less likely to come into contact with the stressors of the outside world and take as much R & R as a little boy needs, cuddled up by my human's side of course... I will also need my family to be very strict with and keep on top of my flea and worming prevention. The way to my heart is definitely through my stomach - I am a super food motivated guy who may seem a little shy at first but when given a little bit of patience (and a lot of treats) turns into a purring and meowing machine! I love a good chin, ear or bum scratch and will let you know you've got the spot by showing off my marvelous kneading and head bunting skills. I have previously lived with other cats and remain social with some at the shelter so could possibly fit in nicely with other animals in the home, just make sure any introductions are done so very gradually. I do have a playful side too and love engaging with toys and enrichment - it's such a great way for us to bond while providing me with plenty of mental stimulation. Aside from all that fun stuff my new home will need some other essentials ready for my arrival. These include access to fresh water and food (I am currently on Royal Canin adult food), clean litter trays, lots of perches and hidey holes for me to retreat to and a cat scratcher to keep my nails nice and trim. If you're looking for a cool, calm, collected and chirpy companion - look no further than me!
Lots of Love,
