NOTE: You are unable to meet Clara until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Clara in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I want in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I can be shy at first so a patient family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time would be great.
• A doggie playmate would be great, if not then lots of socialising with other dogs
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats, pocket pets or fowl that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with them, so it is recommended that I don’t go to a home that has them. However, I showed no interest in cats at the shelter so I may be ok with dog savvy cat.
• Due to coming to the shelter as a stray my history with children is unknown. However, I can be bouncy when excited so I may be too much for young children and may accidently knock them over.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• Livestock as I appear to want to chase them

My best features:
• I can sit, shake hands & stay
• I love attention and having snuggles with my humans
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Well mannered
• Love to snooze on the couch

Where I need to improve / Training required:
• I can be strong on the lead - training and walking me in a halti or harness may stop this
• I can be a bit bouncy -training should stop this

AN ADOPTION CAN'T BE APPROVED IF YOU HAVE CANNOT COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET CLARA IN PERSON.

ANY EXISTING DOGS AT HOME MUST COME TO THE SHELTER TO MEET CLARA BEFORE AN ADOPTION CAN BE APPROVED
