About Pocky
Pocky is an affectionate, cheeky, and energetic old lady who is in complete denial of her age, and has embraced pet life with gusto. She enjoys snacks, pats, soft beds, car rides, and long walks on the beach. She has a funny little smile when she’s content and truly devastating puppy dog eyes when she’s getting anything less than royal treatment.
While Pocky sleeps most of the day, she adores her routine and is happy going on regular short walks. She is a very social lady who loves attention - so much so that she has fallen into a deep sleep while being brushed.
She has a very funny style of nuzzling, and she will make sure you know that she loves you - as long as you keep the pats coming! Pocky likes to be with other dogs after a proper introduction, and has enjoyed meeting the dogs in the neighbourhood.
She has spent time with another foster dog in care - you should be aware that her ideal furry friend, if she must share your attention, should be willing to share their bed with Pocky for cuddles and doesn’t mind receiving a few kisses!
Pocky is quite happy in an apartment, and does very gentle zooms that usually involve walking excitedly in circles and doing cute little hops. She also enjoys wandering around backyards and digging. Pocky is an expert at toilet training now that she’s had lots of practise, but she needs easy access to an area where she can wee regularly - so she would prefer an owner who is home most of the time to take her outside.
She can also spend some time alone as long as she has her yoghurt Kong and some cardboard to shred - but she’d much prefer not missing out on all the fun. Pocky has been on a very high quality diet of wet and dry food to help with her coat and her joints, which has supported her to regain strength and learn how to get herself on and off the couch! She would very much like to continue to eat like royalty.
Old Nanna Pocky will steal your heart - and all she asks in return is the finest offerings in soft beds, good food, and plenty of pats.

Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $375.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
