About Hamish - 11 Week Old Staffy X (Trial
Hamish is a 11 week old, male Staffy cross puppy. He would love to be your little snuggle buddy and give you all the love his little heart has to give.
Hamish is a very healthy little puppy who has been raised in a home environment. He loves other dogs and would be best with an older friend to idolise and snuggle with when his person is not around, however he could do without one if his human bestie is around most of the time. He’s interested, friendly and affectionate with new people but bonds most closely with one person. He keeps an eye on his human mate at all times and follows from room to room. As soon as you sit down he wants nothing more than to climb onto your lap and snuggle.
Hamish will grow up to be a medium dog. He is in the very early stages of toilet training but is showing signs of understanding that there is a toilet area and moving towards it when he needs to go. Hamish is food motivated and is starting to sit for a treat. We always recommend puppy-training classes to give your new family member the best start in life. All dogs and puppies need plenty of affection, exercise, and training. Hamish loves his toys and particularly loves to play tug with his brother or anyone he can talk into a game.
Hamish needs to be welcome inside when people are home, and to sleep inside at least until fully grown. He will be wonderful family dog and is suitable for children 8 years and older. He is a typical puppy who bites and chews so if there are children in the family it would be best to have someone experienced with young dogs who can manage and explain normal puppy interaction to any children. You need good fencing with no small gaps. He can't go to rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire).
Hamish’s brother Andy is also available for adoption.
Hamish’s adoption fee is $700 which includes his desexing when he is old enough. It also includes his first two vaccinations. He has been treated for fleas and worms, and is microchipped.
Hamish is in foster care in Toukley, NSW. Since he is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region (Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland and Cessnock) plus Central Coast and Sydney. He'll need to be returned to one of our approved vets for desexing when he's 5 to 6 months old.
