MY PROFILE:

My name is Gherkin and I'm looking for a home of my own!

I'm a gentle soul, an introvert and a thinker but filled with sweetness. I do sometimes like a good play but I also like to observe the world around me. I'm a little shy at first. I absolutely love snuggles and pats when I feel safe but sometimes I forget that when humans first pick me up, so being slow and gentle is what I need. Cuddling up with my foster mum through the night - often with my head on the pillow - is the best.

I like humans when I know I can trust them, and I might take a little bit to warm up to new people. I was found on my own out in the world at a factory which was very scary.

I like playing with my foster brothers and sisters. I especially love playing with my foster sister Matilda who has been waiting far too long for a family of her own so if you're looking for two we could be be your duo. We're yin and yang - I'm the serious and contemplative type and Tildy is the gregarious clown. She does bring me out of my shell.

I would suit a home with a single person, couple, or kids who are at least teenagers. Young children would definitely be too much for me. I might be okay as an only cat and we could enjoy life together. I'm also tolerant of the resident dog when she's not being too annoying.

My foster mum says I'm just a sweet little angel. And with my sweet face, chunky petite build and cute pink nose I am rather adorable.
