Sweet Ruby, she captured the hearts of Geelong and is now ready for her next adventure, to find her forever home.
She is the sweetest, loveable girl when she knows she is safe & loved. Endless cuddles, her favourite thing to hear you say is âRuby cuddlesâ. She will bound in and nuzzle her head into your lap. She sometimes forgets her size & believes she is a lap dog!
She will need a home with another dog who respects her boundaries and preferably with her human companion/s being home more often than not!
There will need to be a settling in period for her where her humans will be there with her & help her ease into her new life. She does have anxiety and separation anxiety but with patience and understanding she will soon give you her best.
Excellent on lead, but will take time to build trust with her new human so off lead is not recommended for some time. Once you get to that point, she is happy to walk off lead beside you & her recall is excellent, unless she spies a bunny đ°
She is a real Dag when it comes to play, something she is still mastering but has come a long way in her foster care. Her gallop chasing her favourite toy always brings her foster family to laughter.
Sheâs been in foster care with 2 young children who she adores and is a gentle teddy bear with. 2 cats, & her beloved canine friend.
Due to her anxiety levels with new environments & people, we will need to have a few play dates with her potential adoptee to make the transition easier for both parties.
*Ruby is not suited to a home with pocket pets.*
Medical notes
Ruby has anxiety and separation anxiety and is currently on medication for this.
Potential adoptees must take these ongoing costs into consideration before applying for Ruby.
