Little man, little legs, BIG attitude.

Darren is one of a kind. He is a small dog, with a big personality, life will never be boring with this man around.

Now, Darren is sassy - he likes what he likes and don't you dare try to tell him otherwise. He is EXTREMELY dog friendly and would LOVE another canine playmate in the house to grow up with. He may be small, but even a friendly, silly, larger dog would be suitable to be Darren's new best friend. If you already have a dog in the home and you think Darren will complete your family, bring them in for a play-date!

Darren adores his toys, but for a little boy, he needs big dog enrichment. He is known for being a power-chewer and loves long-lasting things like Kongs and other treat dispensing toys. Stuffed animals aren't his style (unless you want to watch them explode in .02 seconds).

This sassy fella is a little on the fence with handling, once he knows you he is fine - but it takes a while to get there. He will need a tolerant home where he is given space to be able to move away and the affection isn't forced upon him. He can be a bit of a baby when it comes to seeing the vet too, as much as we love our vets here at The Lost Dogs' Home, he does not. So, any future vet visits will need to be taken slowly and with lots of positive reinforcing to ensure he doesn't find them scary.

Due to his disdain for over-handling we recommend that Darren goes to home with dog-savvy adults only. Kids aren't his vibe, and that's okay.
