About Skye
Meet Skye, a stunning 5-year-old Staghound cross with a heart full of love and a friendly disposition. Skye is a beautiful girl who simply adores being around people. Her gentle and affectionate nature makes her a wonderful companion, always eager to share her love and joy with those around her.
Skye would thrive in a home with kids who understand the importance of respecting her space and boundaries. She is very patient and kind, making her an excellent family dog, but she appreciates a respectful approach from children. This ensures that she feels safe and comfortable in her environment, allowing her loving personality to truly shine.
While Skye does not get along with cats, she excels in the company of other dogs. She enjoys playing and socializing with her canine friends, making her an ideal addition to a home that already has a dog or two. Her ability to get along well with other dogs speaks to her friendly and adaptable nature.
Despite never having been an inside dog, Skye is eager for the opportunity to be part of the family indoors. She dreams of cozy evenings spent inside, particularly on game nights where she can be surrounded by the warmth and laughter of her loved ones. With a bit of patience and training, Skye is sure to adjust beautifully to indoor life, bringing her calm and loving presence into the home.
Skye is more than ready to find a forever home where she can be cherished and included as a beloved family member. Her friendly and affectionate nature, combined with her readiness to adapt to indoor living, makes her the perfect addition to any loving family. If you're looking for a loyal and loving companion who will bring joy and warmth into your home, Skye is the perfect choice.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
