About Shia
This lady is Shia, she is Ruby's half sister and is a Cocker Spaniel X Border Collie. Although Shia is nine years old she is very active and her favourite thing is to clear the pesky birds from the backyard so we strongly advise against her new home having chooks or pet birds etc.
She has an excellent temperament and is good with other dogs.
Shia has missed out on stimulation and exercise in the past so is very enthusiastic when it comes to walk time. We have been teaching her to walk in a Luca lead and she is getting much better.
Shia is house trained and will stay quietly in her bed near her people indoors. She sleeps in the kitchen in her bed and never makes a sound overnight. She has learnt to use the doggy door and takes herself out to check the backyard then checks back in to us.
She is not so people focused as her sister Ruby but does like to know where you are and get pats and praise.
Shia will need her new people to understand the Border Collie personality as she has more Border Collie genes than Cocker Spaniel.
Shia will suit a new home where her people can commit to teaching her that life is good again but also set some boundaries to help manage her high energy levels.
