About Fletcher
Meet adorable Fletcher – quite simply he is the happiest big boy you ever will see.
This handsome boy arrived on part 1 of Frankie’s mission and is a gorgeous wolfhound mix according to his records – we believe there is probably some retriever in his genes too.
Like all rescues, we can rarely be 100% sure of his breed but we are 100% sure he is the friendliest, most handsome rooster we have seen in town lately.
Fletcher, we believe is still quite young, maybe a year old.
He is a big puppy still learning his manners but he is doing so well.
House training is coming along great and he is now only having the occasional accident inside.
He is still however learning his size and looking at his paws , he has a bit more growing to do yet.
He is still learning not to jump up and for this reason only we wouldn’t recommend him with very little children.
He loves people so much and he gets so excited seeing his humans and we don’t want him to knock any little ones over and end up in the doghouse.
He will also need a stronger experienced handler to take him on walks as he is just beyond excited about all the new sights, sounds, and adventure at the end of his nose.
Fletcher knows to sit and wait for his meals and treats, he absolutely LOVES dinner time, almost as much as cuddle time.
He loves playtime too, especially a game of tug of war or fetch.
Toys are a must for this baby, he is currently having the time of his life discovering the joys of squeakers and water play.
When Fletcher gets tired he knows how to give the best cuddles on the couch watching tv - don’t let his size fool you, he is a lap dog.
He adores being close with his people and will follow you around just to check what you are up to.
Fletcher is currently in foster care with other dogs and cats, and yes this beautiful boy is cat friendly too!
What more could you ask for in a best friend?
It is worth noting that his coat is soft ,long and fluffy, not coarse so he is a shedder and will need regular brushing.
Fletcher is being desexed on Tuesday so will be ready for meets next weekend.
He is also vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm checked and up to date with his flea and worm treatments.
In foster care at Crestmead, his adoption fee is $625
If you would like to meet this jolly giant, please send us a detailed message telling us all about yourself and the amazing life he could share with you.
