About Meeka
Hello? Is it Meeka you’re looking for? I’m a black & white border collie x kelpie and if anyone is asking, I’m 8, but ladies like me prefer not to reveal their age. I love to run and play as much as I love snoozing in my big fluffy bed.
I love treats, playing with toys and running around with my doggie pals. I don’t need a lot of exercise - a short leash walk or off-lead run each day will satisfy me, as long as I can spend time with you throughout the day.
I am a perfect lady in the house. I am housetrained and will just snooze in my bed or rest at your feet. My foster mum says I am a great working-from-home companion. I know my name, I sit, I come when called, I wait nicely at the door and I travel well in the car. I am crate trained and sleep in my crate all night. I have been practicing walking nicely on a slip lead but I will need my new family to continue my training in this regard. I'm also still working on my recall around livestock.
I make friends with every person I meet. I am very gentle and don’t jump up. I will be ok with older children, however I have not been tested with cats, small dogs, or children under 5.
I’m in great health, but I do have some arthritis in my hips which is managed with supplements and quarterly Synovan injections.
A large yard in a quiet town, or acreage with a secure house yard would suit me perfectly. I need someone around more often than not, and I’d be happy with or without other dogs, but I would prefer companions my own size who are not too rough.
I’m Meeka. You’ve found me!
Meeka is located in VIC.

Adoption details
To apply to adopt a dog from Dogs4Jobs, you must firstly complete our adoptions application form in full at http://dogs4jobs.com.au/adoption-form/.
You can also write out your answers and email them to dogs@dogs4jobs.com.au
*Please note, due to the high volume of applications received, we will not respond to Petrescue chat messages, or enquiries to adopt a dog. You must complete our adoptions form to be considered for the dog or pup, and we will respond to this form via our email.
We will then request to complete a yard check, or for you to send in photos of your yard showing the fencing, space, shelter and any hazards etc, to confirm it is safe and secure, as well as adequate space for a working breed dog.
Following this, we will then put you in touch with the dog/s foster carer/s that you are interested in, to chat further over the phone, about whether the dog is a good fit for your family, and vice versa. We are searching for the perfect match for each dog and their needs. We offer interstate adoption on all of our dogs.
