NOTE: You are unable to meet Buttercup until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Buttercup in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.


What I need in my new home:
• Regular walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I am very confident around other dogs, I am happy to have a sniff and then co exist however I am not overly interactive with them. I am more interested in people! I Would be ok with or without another doggy companion
• A cat may be ok with a slow introduction.
• I like both friendly male and female dogs
• Secure Fencing
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• Lots of love and attention
• I can be shy at first so I need a family who’ll allow me to grow in confidence in my own time
• SOCIALISATION is as important for me as it appears I've led a very sheltered life and can be a bit nervous/shy in new situations. Since being at the shelter I'm becoming much braver though. Taking me to lots of different places, meeting lots of people (children, men, woman etc) and meeting lots of dogs and other animals will help boost my confidence

Things that I don’t want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No young children as I can be a bit shy in new situations and with new people and little ones may accidently scare me. Older children who will be involved with my training should be ok

My best features:
• I am the biggest snuggle bug, I just want to be on your lap and in your skin getting all the love & cuddles that I possibly can
• Very people orientated
• Highly food motivated
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit and am very attentive - I just want to please you
• Happy to hang out with other friendly dogs
• Love to snooze on the couch
• Just the sweetest lady who deserves the moon & all the stars

Where I need to improve / Training required
• I can be shy at first and timid in unfamiliar environments/situations, lots of further socialization & positive interactions recommended as well as a family who is happy to take it at my pace so that I never feel uncomfortable
• As with all dogs continual training is recommended so that I am always the best version of myself
