About Chev
Meet Chev and Boss, two delightful four-and-a-half-month-old male puppies, a mix of German Shepherd and Rhodesian Ridgeback. These brothers came to the shelter after their previous owner could no longer care for them. They are affectionate, loving, and full of playful energy.
Chev and Boss, given their breed mix, may initially be a bit wary of new people—a trait inherited from their genetic background. However, they quickly warm up and form strong bonds, making them joyful companions. Both are expected to grow into extra-large dogs, as evidenced by their already sizable paws and current stature.
As high-energy puppies, Chev and Boss will need to go to separate homes. This separation will help each pup develop individual confidence and strengthen their bonds with their new families. They are young enough to integrate well with children and can grow up alongside them, learning to be part of a family. Chev and Boss are also good with other dogs, making them great additions to households with existing pets.
Adopters should be prepared for all standard puppy challenges, such as toilet training, managing nipping, and potential destructiveness. They are also at a critical socialization period, making it essential for new owners to enroll them in puppy school and expose them to various environments to aid their development.
If you're ready to meet Chev and Boss, you can see them both together at the shelter. This meeting will help you determine which puppy you connect with more deeply, guiding your decision on which one to adopt. These puppies are looking for homes that will guide them through their formative months and provide the love and training they need to thrive.
