About Rhia
Rhia is a sweet girl, very placid and quiet, and is friendly with everyone she meets, though needs a bit of time to warm up to you for extra pats and cuddles. She’s an ex-farm dog who is getting used to living in a home environment. A large yard with good fences is a must. She loves to run and explore, ever curious of her surroundings. She is getting better at going for walks with a harness on, can stop on command when asked while walking and her recall is good when she is not distracted. Rhia likes to play rough and hasn’t yet worked out that not everyone likes to play the same way, so she can seem reactive on walks or when meeting other dogs for the first time. But given a chance she settles down and enjoys the company of other dogs. Rhia is fine with older children but as yet has not met younger kids. She has lived harmoniously with a confident cat, but at times is not good with smaller animals and needs to be kept away from chickens. She loves her food and gets excited for breakfast and dinner, she can sit and wait on command for meal times. She responds quickly to training but needs a person who will continue this. She does like the ball thrown and can fetch, but gets over reactive and needs extra training around this. She loves to relax when inside with you and watch whatever you are doing inside the house. She sleeps well throughout the night on her bed and loves her fluffy blanket. If you are an active person who is looking for a dedicated companion that can keep up with you, look no further than Rhia!
