About Dakota
Dakota LOVES her people. She quickly warms to anyone she meets and they have all adored her. She is very affectionate and will touch you any chance she can. She is a little shadow and relies on her people for confidence and reassurance.
She has met young children and been very gentle with them. She is very adaptable. She would love being part of a family or with someone who can give her a lot of time. She will need a confident owner to teach her the boundaries.
Dakota loves other dogs! She is very submissive and has great doggy manners, she learns very quickly if she is told no. She enjoys playing zoomies and tug. She has been around horses but is still learning they are not big dogs.
Second to her love for humans is her love for food. She will eat whatever is in her reach (even if she needs to jump on the bench to get it) and we are yet to find a food she doesn’t like. She inhales her food so is fed separately and through slow feeders, puzzles etc. Being so food motivated makes her very easy to train.
Dakota has learnt to sit, come, drop. She is doing well learning to have all feet on the ground before getting attention and slowly learning to wait for her food. She walks quite well on lead but is not a fan of wearing her collar. She is doing great with her toilet training and will walk towards the door when she needs to go, she will sometimes do an excited wee when you get home. She sleeps through the night and will let you know when she’s ready to get up in the morning.
She is a puppy so has lots of bouncy puppy energy. Although she is generally very gentle she does excitedly jump when she first sees you which can be a bit rough.
Dakota has the sweetest nature she just wants to love and be loved. She would love to live with a doggy sibling or with someone who is home often and can include her in all parts of their life.
