About Stooge
Meet Stooge: Your Future Furry Best Friend!
Name: Stooge
Age: 1 year 6 months
Breed: Golden Retriever x Poodle
Personality: Loving, Smart, Playful
Hello, wonderful humans! I'm Stooge, a playful and affectionate Golden Retriever x Poodle mix looking for my forever home. At 1 year and 6 months old, I'm full of youthful energy and curiosity, always ready for a new adventure or a fun playtime session.
About Me:
I love being around people and would fit in perfectly with just about any family. Whether it's a cozy night in or an exciting day out, I'm happy as long as I'm with my favorite humans.
Though I'm super loving and smart, I do need a bit of training to help me learn some manners and cope with my anxiety. I'm eager to learn and just need someone patient to guide me.
I get along great with other dogs and would love to have a furry sibling to play with!
Exploring and getting out of the yard are some of my favorite pastimes. I love discovering new places and smells.
I'm a water lover! Splashing around and playing in water makes me incredibly happy.
Toys are my jam! I can spend hours playing with them, especially if you're joining in on the fun.
What I'm Looking For:
I'm seeking a loving family who can offer me the time, patience, and training I need. I promise to return the favor with endless love, loyalty, and joy. Whether it's a big family, a couple, or a single person, as long as you have a big heart and a love for adventures, we'll get along just fine!
Ready to meet your new best friend? Let's make memories together!
To book a meet and greet with Stooge please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
