About Mouse
"Mouse wants the following in her new home:
- A calm home with loving people who specifically want a very affectionate cat.
- She would appreciate cosy cat beds strategically placed throughout the house, and perhaps a scratching pole or two.
-Mouse is happy to have cat companions but doesn’t want to be a playmate.
- Mouse wants to be an inside cat, with the exception of an outdoor cat enclosure for safety.
Mouse has the most luxurious, plush coat that makes you want to run your hands through it time and again. Seriously, it is something else! She is all in when it comes to affection and will proactively seek out physical contact with you. Whilst this lovely lass might be shy in a new environment at first, she quickly gains confidence interacting with her people as it proves to be safe. Being held in arms is not her favourite way to hang out with you, however free-range smooching is the way to her heart, big time! (see video)
If you are a work-from-home person or spend time sitting at a desk for any reason, she would love nothing more than to have a cosy cat bed on a shelf next to you where she can keep you company whilst you work. Mouse deeply appreciates cat beds, cosy dens, and cushions. A scattering of these throughout the house would make her a super happy feline.
Mouse is accepting of the company of other friendly cats and will also comfortably co-exist with cat-friendly dogs. At this stage she isn’t ready to be a playmate for another cat and wouldn’t be suitable for a home where that role is looking to be filled. She will happily live alongside the other cats but isn’t looking for an active playmate right now.
She has the potential to be an only cat if her people will be home consistently. She needs to live as an inside only cat unless there is a safe outdoor enclosure that she can have access to. She is litter trained."

*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption.*
*All cats and kittens adopted through Pyrenees Animal Rescue are only available to homes where they will be kept indoors or in a secure cat run/enclosure. A yard with fencing is not enough to keep an adventurous cat contained, or safe from dogs and traffic. *

Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet.
We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require you to travel to meet the animal you are looking to adopt. For dog adoptions, any other dogs in your home musr attend the meet and greet, this enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
We reserve the right to refuse the adoption if we don't believe it's a good match for our animals.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care or we will assist you in finding them a suitable new home, this is a condition thst you agree to when signing our Adoption Agreement.
