About Bustopher Jones
Meet Bustopher Jones,
Not to be concerned about his grumpy little face, we can confirm that Bustopher Jones is a very happy, friendly and playful young boy and is suitable for first time owners.
He’s a tad sensitive to loud noises so he is best suited to a calm & quiet household, however Bustopher is also outgoing, curious, confident and social so having said that maybe a busy home is where he will truly thrive?
Bustopher is open to meet kids of any age. He is affectionate and engaging and loves to be picked up, carried and cuddled. He also loved being petted literally anywhere…
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure how Bustopher Jones would go living with or meeting dogs but base don his reaction to hearing them bark we are going to take an educated guess as assume that he doesn’t like them.
As for other cats B. Jones didn’t seem too fussed when we introduced him to them. He was more chuffed about being held & carried around.
As always, we recommend that cats be indoors only & B. Jones is no exception. Being outside comes with risks such as him running away, becoming lost, injured or worse. In Bustopher’s case not only was he quite scared in the cat park, but he also has high prey drive – so if he is outside, we can almost guarantee that birds and smaller animals may be brought to you as *presents*
Bustopher has mid-range energy levels – you most likely won’t see him playing too much in his condo UNLESS you bring out the almighty feather-wand which Bustopher treats like a gold medal from the Olympics. Actually, speaking of the Olympics if we were to enter him into aerial acrobatics or rhythmic gymnastics, we are fairly sure he’d take home the gold each & every time. This boy is FAST fast, nimble & quick. But the best part is that he will keep you entertained for hours during play time!
Bustopher Jones is not fussy with his food and will happily accept anything you offer him. He is also generally quiet in nature with the odd meow here & there and he always uses his litter tray without any fuss!
Staff Comments: Bustopher Jones is very sweet, it is so much fun watching him play with the feather-wand toy. He jumps in the air, catches it and then starts to walk off with his ‘catch of the day’. He is very cuddly, and always greets you with purrs and pawing at the door to get your attention. He may look grumpy, but we can confirm that he is a very happy boy!

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
