Rocky is a dachshund/pug looking for an experienced dog carer/owner.
He looks like a tiny mini labrador with a dashie personality.
He's a really loving guy and he doesn't take long to warm up to you, you just need to give him time and space and he’s not a fan of fussing all over him.
Rocky is very affectionate once he is comfortable with you and likes to lay on top of you, he's just helping to keep you warm.
Rocky loves his toys and a game of tug-o-war, he prefers it when he wins.
He is good with most dogs but can be a bit too boisterous at times with his play style. He loves to explore and play in the yard but more importantly he loves to spend time with his human and needs to be allowed inside and sleep inside .
Rocky has been assed by our trainer who says he has a great level of obedience and looks to you for direction, he would love and he would benefit from someone willing to continue his training. She’s says he’s a really nice little dog who is just a bit timid and puts on a big front.
He is crate trained and is excellent inside the home.
Rocky just wants a quiet home and few visitors, this makes him happy, just him and his people.
He has a sensitive tummy so he will need a good quality diet.
He is fine left at home for a few hours, inside , and no issues. When he is left indoors, he will usually just make himself a comfy space in the sun until you return.

Here are some quick tips to make your APPLICATION stand out:
Include as many details as you can about your lifestyle, family, accommodation, and work. Here’s some first-hand feedback from our member rescue organisations about what they'd like to see in your applications:
🐱 Why would this animal suit your home? (This lets them know that you've read the pet’s bio and considered their personality vs. your lifestyle)
🐾 Details about your family
🏡 Is your home quiet/relaxed or loud/busy? (Particularly important for timid cats). Ask questions, to show your are interested in the animals ell being.
Add questions into the application.
Fill out the profiles of your current pets if you have any. Understanding the personality of resident cats and dogs will help rescue organisations or foster carers determine if the pet will adjust to your surroundings.
Remember to be respectful and kind in your enquiries. A simple greeting can go a long way! Behind that screen is a real hooman, who loves and cares for the pet you're enquiring about just as much as you will!
Be open and honest - rescues prefer having as much information as they can about potential adopters.
An adoption fee applies to each animal to cover only the basic veterinary procedures, and each adoption goes out on a 21 day settling in period, if the dog is returned in this period, and you’ve spoken to our trainer for assistance, and the dog is returned in good health, mentally and physically, and all their belongings and paperwork are returned, then we provide a refund less $50 admin fee. This is not a trial, but in case of any unknown or unforeseen circumstances.
The adoption process is as follows
✅Everyone that lives in the home will meet the dog with the carer
✅We ask everyone go home again and discuss and think about overnight and contact us the next day
✅This also gives the carer a chance to think about suitability
✅Then if everyone agrees we then require a home inspection, or at least photos of the home yard and fences.
✅Then the adoption fee is paid and once that clears our account you are free to arrange with the carer to collect
✅The adoption paperwork comes out in 14 days in which time you are required to register and change chip over
