About Buddy
Meet Buddy, a charming handsome boy that carries the Kelpie's intelligent genes.
Buddy has a lovely temperament, always welcoming with a wagging tail, shining eyes, and a joyful bounce in his steps.
Buddy is good with other dogs and enjoys games with his fellow canines.
Buddy would make a wonderful addition to an active family who is ready to continue his training. Enthusiastic and always up for fun and adventure, Buddy loves exploring the outdoors and would be so happy to join your family in all your activities. Buddy's smart Kelpie brain means he would enjoy a household where there are lots of things going on to stimulate his mind.
So, if you're seeking a smart, affectionate, and energetic addition to your family, then get ready to create memories with Buddy!
If you think Buddy is the dog you’ve been searching for, please contact our Shelter Manager Yvette on 0421 831 128 for more information, or to organise a meeting with Buddy.

Adoption details
If there is a cat/dog you would be interested in adopting that you have seen online or met at our Adoption Centres, you will need to fill out an Expression of interest. You can do this at the Centres or online at: https://friendsofthepound.com/adoption-expression-of-interest/
We only adopt out cats and dogs to locations that are within 2 hours driving distance.
If you are a homeowner, we need a copy of your Rates Notice. If you have a Body Corp, we need their written permission that cat/dog ownership is allowed.
If you are in a rental we need written permission from the Home owner/Letting Agent. The letter needs to be dated within the last week and state the property address, the name of the Occupant (adopter-to-be) and how long you have been at the property.
We cannot accept deposits and no hold can be put on a cat/dog.
All adoptions need to be approved by our Cat, Kitten or Dog Coordinators or Management so you might not be able to adopt the cat or dog at the time you meet them.
We aim to match the cats/dogs with the most suitable owner and home environment. Our goal is to have the cats and dogs go to a home where they can spend their entire lives, which could be up to 20 years or more for a kitten, and 15-20 years for a puppy.
