About Buddy
Meet Buddy, an affectionate Maltese mix. Coming in at 7 and a half years old, he has a gentle and calm nature that exudes tranquility. This charming four-legged companion was a bit shy around men in the past, but he has made great strides and now handles these encounters more comfortably.
Buddy is a walking enthusiast and enjoys his outdoor time the most when strolling with a halti lead, rather than a regular collar and lead. His gentle approach to life and quiet temperament make him a great companion for calmer dogs, and he also seems to get along well with cats.
Buddy's first love is treats and pats from his humans, and he'll quickly feel at home with a family that's generous with both. With his initially anxious disposition, he might seem a bit shy when you first meet, but underneath that timid exterior is a playful, loyal friend who'll open up pretty quickly. In Buddys earlier life, he was quite afraid of men but his previous home has worked really hard with him and he is now happy to be around everyone.
Buddy is a laid-back gentleman looking for a new family to offer him love, stability, and companionship. Being near his humans is where he wants to be; he just adores their company.
With his heartwarming antics and appreciation for the gentler side of life, Buddy would make a splendid companion for anyone looking to welcome a peaceful, loving dog into their life. He would best suit a home with a stay at home human or a quiet family as he loves kids. He's not just a pet; Buddy truly lives up to his name as a beloved friend!

Adoption details
Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
