The sad story of Nutmeg.

Nutmeg has had a horrible start to life. This poor little baby was pretty horrifically treated by her previous owners and found herself scared and alone at the Shelter at only 6 months old after being rescued by Victoria Police.

She is shy and takes a bit of time to really warm up - but once she does, and realises you mean no harm you are greeted by a sweet and sensitive girl just obsessed with gentle affection.

While she is untrusting with new people, Nutmeg adores canine companion - we really believe she will blossom and benefit from having a well balanced and friendly dog companion in the home to help teach her the ways of the good dog life. If you have a gentle-souled dog already in the home, please bring them in to meet Nutmeg - let's help build her confidence together!

Because of what Nutmeg has been through, she will need to be in a home with adults only - the quick movements and unpredictable nature of kids will likely just be too much for this sensitive Miss to handle. Everyone in the home will need to be understanding of her past to help her move forward. Could this be you?

Nutmeg loves treats, you can win her over with some Schmakos and liver treats so we believe she will respond well to ongoing training. Mental and physical enrichment will really help to enhance her confidence and teach her the skills to create a happy dog with a long and relaxed life ahead.
