To rise like a Phoenix from the ashes means to emerge from a catastrophe stronger, smarter and more powerful.

This is exactly where this stunning girl got her name from. Phoenix has has had an extremely tough start to life. She has come from a large scale breeding operation and was destined to a life of breeding puppies for the financial gain of humans, and we are absolutely not here for that. Neither is she.

Phoenix came in to The Lost Dogs' Home with her puppies, and while they have all been adopted to new homes, Phoenix has stayed in care to get strong and well enough to finally break the cycle and get her happily ever after.

German Shepherds are intelligent, strong-willed and incredibly active, Phoenix is no exception. This beautiful lady needs a dedicated owner willing to work with her to achieve hers, and your goals. She excels at training and is extremely responsive to treats - she will be a trick master in no time!

Right now, Phoenix will need to be the only dog in the home while she works on her social skills - given where she has come from, this is totally understandable. Patience and ongoing training may help this in the future. We recommend that consistent obedience work will help keep her active and engaged.

This girl is tennis ball and squeeky toy OBSESSED so if you incorporate both of those things into playtime then Phoenix will adore you forever.
