About Nikki
When Nikki first entered our care, she was lacking confidence and very unsure of her surroundings.
Nikki didn't enter our care alone, she and her adorable puppies found themselves without a home. Her puppies have since all found there forever homes and it's now Nikkis turn.
One of our lovely foster carers opened his home to Nikki and helped her blossom into the sweet, loving companion that we now know her as. She has had a challenging past, but she hasn't let that dim her spirit. Nikki may take a little time to settle into her new home, once she feels safe she actively seeks out affection from her favourite humans.
While in care, she has slowly turned into a couch potato and loves to snuggle up to her shelter pals. Although she does also love to run a muck in the adoption yard. She doesn't last long, and then resorts back into her ball for a snooze or leans into her humans for a cuddle.
Nikki has mastered some basic skills and responds well with treat training, so learning new skills will be a breeze. We think it's best for Nikki to be rehomed to an adult only household. She lacks some social skills around others dogs, so she would prefer a home with no other animals. With some positive interactions, she may be open to some play dates in the future.
Life hasn't always been easy for Nikki, and is looking for a calm and supportive home who can help boost her confidence. Despite her initial reservations, she has a gentle heart and a deep desire to bond with a loving family.
She has quickly become a shelter favourite and we would LOVE to see her thrive in her forever home. So if Nikki sounds like the gal for you, head down to the Cranbourne shelter and meet her today!
