About Psalm
Meet Psalm, our selfie Queen...
Psalm is suitable for first time owners. She is an affectionate & sweet young girl, who is friendly, happy and social. She is also suitable for any household environment as she is fairly easy-going.
Psalm is a gentle girl who would be a great addition into any family as she is agreeable and playful. She loves to be cuddled and showered with affection. She loves when she sees you coming towards her, and she cannot contain her excitement as she will chirp and purr. She loves being patted & especially loves her cheeks being scratched.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unable to say whether Psalm would be fine to live with dogs. We tested her in the car park & she didn’t appear to be phased by their barking, but this is not a definitive answer. This would be up to the discretion of her new owners.
Psalm is an independent girl. She knows exactly what she wants and what she doesn’t want & what she doesn’t want is to make cat friends. Although Psalm came in with her brother (Lawson) and they got along fine, she has changed her cattitude towards all other cats. Psalm is happy being single & is not in the mood to mingle – unless with her human friends, of course!
We’re unsure as to why this is. Maybe she likes her newfound freedom? Maybe she enjoys her own company and making friends is kinda not on her to-do list. Whatever the reason is, Psalm would need to be the only cat in the household as her dislike for other cats is quite strong.
Whilst Pslam could handle the great outdoors we strongly are against it for a number of reasons. Apart from the risk of her running away, getting lost, injured or worst there is the other risk of her getting into cat fights due to her dislike of cats which could result in health complications. She is best to be inside only, where she can reign supreme & be safe whilst doing so.
Psalm has medium energy levels, and she loves her toys. You’ll often find her batting them around. She is quite a curious little cat and she loves to play with small plush toys however she won’t say no to a feather toy either…
Psalm is somewhat fussy with her food; we know that she doesn’t like chunky wet food or Crunchers treats. She prefers pate or mousse wet food. She is also a tidy girl & always uses her litter tray.
Staff Comments: Whilst Psalm doesn’t like other cats, she will still be a great addition to any family. She is very sweet and loves to greet you with her tail held high in the air. She loves her toys. Although she is fussy with her food.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
