About Millie's Pups - Shih Tzu X Maltese
**Expression of interest** Pups of Millie – Shih Tzu x Maltese
Millie has found her forever home and will start her new life in October. We are still taking expressions of interest for 2 pups, available late September.
Note:
* Their life expectancy is 16 – 18 years, they would love you to be in their life in 18 years’ time.
* One pup per household.
* The pups will need someone home a lot especially whilst young, no full-time workers please.
* Someone who is committed to training and who also understands all the needs of a puppy, especially how to handle them as they are very small.
* A small dog sibling would be nice for them to share time with but not essential.
* Your home needs to be completely puppy proofed inside and out. No choke hazard down low, childrens toys to chew, leads power cords etc. The yard needs to be finished and secure with no gaps in fences or under gates, no pool fencing which they can slip through, no debris or building materials and closed in verandas.
*For safety and wellbeing of the pup your yard will need to be closely inspected by a DRN Volunteer and will need to be approved (or not approved) by 2 DRN Coordinators.
In brief:
• Need a finished and secure yard, no gaps, debris or building materials.
• Suited to kids 5 years and older
• Their new family will be committed to having the pup in their lives for up to 18 years
• Someone will be home often, and committed to training
The pups' adoption fee is $1200. They are in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW, and are not available for interstate adoption.
Pups will need to be desexed at 6 months of age at one of our DRN approved vets, therefore they are only available for adoption to the Lower Hunter region - Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Port Stephens, Maitland, and Cessnock plus Central Coast and some areas of Sydney.
