Meet Leif, a charming, Catahoula x Bull Arab who, despite his physical challenge, has a heart brimming with love and a spirit full of energy. The most important thing to know about Leif is that he is profoundly deaf. But don't let that deter you; he's fully capable of giving and receiving love in bucket loads.

Leif is a gentle soul with a playful side. He's large for his breed and has a penchant for jumping, making him a perfect match for a family with older children who would appreciate his brimming energy. Leif's ongoing puppy training will help him utilise this energy and refine his manners, making him a perfect family pet.

Leif is also animal-friendly, he has proven to be good with cats, dogs, and even peaceful around rabbits. Still young and keen to learn, he can be taught to co-exist harmoniously with pets of any kind. However, when it comes to meal times, Leif does get a bit of food aggression, hence if rehomed with another dog, they should be fed separately initially while learning to share their eating space.

Superb with a lead, Leif will undoubtedly become the perfect running companion for an active family, reminding us all that his deafness doesn't hinder his adventurous spirit. He is still refining his indoor manners and will benefit from a large secure yard with access to a doggy door.

As a typical pup, Leif loves to play and romp around. He can't resist a good soft teddy, and having ample space to exert his energy will make him an ecstatic doggy! He has a special fondness for his oversized foster sibling and enjoys the company of other dogs. Yet, noting his size and energy, a home with a female dog of similar stature could be the best fit.

In the hands of a family who can devote their time and energy, Leif will blossom into the outgoing, loving dog he is meant to be. He's a special pupper with unique needs, but in return, he has an incredible amount of love to offer.
