About Nessie
Hi I’m Nessie! I’m a very special lady who can’t wait to find her very own home with people who love and adore me. My babies have started finding their forever homes so now it’s my turn too.
I can be a little reserved and cautious when first meeting new people but tend to warm up after a while if they are calm with me and let me do things at my own pace.
I have been around children of all ages and have shown no issues, however I would love to spend my days in a calm home where it’s not too busy or loud as I can be scared by noisy situations.
I have had some supervised interactions with two small dogs and although I enjoyed their presence, I’m still learning to play with them and can sometimes be overwhelmed with boisterous behaviour. Due to this it’s better for me to either be an only dog or in a home with one who’s less boisterous or dominant.
I have been around chickens and livestock and have shown more fear than anything towards them. I prefer not to be in the presence of cats, they just seem sketchy and untrustworthy to me.
I would do well in a home where my people are there regularly to help me continue to thrive, try new things and break the fear of the unknown. I’m not suitable for a home where I would be left alone for long periods of time or one where I’m not allowed inside.
I sleep inside on a dog bed, spending my days on the couch or out the backyard with a bone and my toys. I am perfectly toilet trained and always go outside when required.
I am very smart, I can sit and obey when asked to get down off the bed or anywhere I’m not supposed to be. I sit for my treats and dinner when asked.
Squeaky ball is my ultimate joy. I would play for hours if given the chance! I will often just carry my toys around with me and squeak it in my mouth randomly.
I love a good zoomy sesh with some couch or human parkour moves thrown in. I also know how to open any door with a flat handle on it.
Hopefully my forever home isn’t too far away from me
Love Nessie 🩷
