Hi, I’m Elke
I am a super friendly, bubbly, fun little girl and I would love to find the home of my dreams.
I came into rescue through no fault of my own. My humans separated and neither of them could keep me,
I am still a very young girl, having just had my second birthday and I am ready to find my furever home.
As a Miniature Dachshund, I do need my new humans to understand the needs of my breed, particularly when it comes to making sure I don’t hurt my back. Not letting me jump off furniture and not having a home with lots of stairs, are really important.
I have passed all of my health checks with flying colours.
I am an outgoing girl, and I am super confident. I am great with other dogs and I have tested ok with cats too so a dog savvy cat should be ok.
I came into care with my housemate, Fritz. He is also a Mini Dachshund, around the same age as me, and also looking for his new home. If you are interested in adopting 2 dogs, we have already lived together previously (but we can happily be separated so don’t worry if you only have room for one of us).
I have had all of my vet work done, including a dental scale and polish.
I am waiting for my pawfect match!
