About Nancy
Say Hello to Nancy, our delightful fluffy princess! Confident and playful, Nancy purrs her way into everyone's hearts. Always on a mission to catch her elusive red dot, she exudes an infectious, playful spirit. Alongside, her loyal bond with both humans and other cats is truly heartwarming.
Once a little stray kitten herself, Nancy has been lovingly fostered and now cherishes the company of humans. This fluffy princess might not be the biggest fan of cuddles just yet, but she adores her pats and enjoys curling up close by those she trusts. Her favourite activity? Laying in the sun and taking delight in never-ending playtime.
Being quite self-sufficient, Nancy is content being home alone whilst you're at work, but asks for just one thing - another furry companion to share her meow-ventures! With a zest for life, she envisions her dream home as one with other cats who don’t mind engaging with a confident kitty like herself.
Despite her adventurous spirit, she will need access to a securely enclosed outdoor space to safely explore her surroundings and indulge her curiosity. She'll do best in an environment that combines the comforts of indoor living with the exciting allure of a safe outdoor playground.
Nancy dons a beautiful medium-length coat that benefits from frequent brushing - an activity she finds quite enjoyable and another great bonding experience for you both!
So, if you're looking for an independent, loving feline who brings joy to everyday adventures and offers warm companionship, then Nancy is the one for you. Can you provide the playful environment and loving companionship Nancy so desires? She's eagerly waiting to meet you!
Medical notes
Nancy was treated for feline idiopathic cystitis shortly after rescue. It is no more complex or dangerous than a human UTI, when identified and treated early. Without early recognition and treatment it can turn into a serious medical condition such as urinary blockage. If it does reoccur, treatment is easy and quick - often a short course of anti inflammatories, antibiotics and/ or pain relief. Nancy may be prone to redeveloping this condition in stressful situations such as moving house or the additional of a new (human or fur) family member. In this situation, it is important that her stress levels are managed - with medications and/or diffusers. Her new owners will need to keep an eye on her toileting habits, be mindful of and seek immediate veterinary care and treatment if; change in usual toileting habits, blood in urine/ litter box, straining to urinate or urinating outside the litter box. We will support you throughout her transition into to your home, and at any time during her life.

Adoption details
1. Initial email enquiry via Pet Rescue messaging system. *This email may go to your junk email folder.*
-Please do not enquire if you are only thinking about adopting - enquiring should only be done once you are 100% certain that you are going to go ahead with adopting.
2. Full application form required to be returned before Bast will contact a prospective adopter (check your messages / email / junk mailbox messages within 24 hours for the form).
-If we don't hear from you we may presume you are no longer interested, so please let us know if you have changed your mind, or adopted another kitty.
-Bast Team will only allow cats to be adopted who are given the best care, and this starts with their food. Our adopters must choose Vet food (Hills/ Royal Canin) only.
-Please ensure that you have written landlord approval to have a pet before enquiring.
-Please message us on the cat or cats you are interested in and we will ask you to fill in an adoption form and send it back to us, so we can get the relevant details from you.
3. Phone conversation IF your application has met the needs of this cat(s) from our team lead.
4. Meet and Greet with cat or kitten
5. Adoption (with trial period - contact Bast Team should there be any issues, even years in the future)
-All adoptions are subject to a settling in period. If for any reason your new addition is not suited to your lifestyle, we ask you contact us, rather than dropping the kitties off at a shelter or another organisation.
Please note we are a volunteer run, small organisation so please be patient with us, and understand that with some of our kitties, we get several responses, and if you are not successful with a kitty you applied for, perhaps you are more suited to another of our kitties.
Thank you
