Claudia - 2 Year Old Domestic Short Hair

We had to update Claudia’s profile picture because, well… she has truly embraced the life of luxury. No, we don’t overfeed her—she just takes her role as the official bowl cleaner very seriously. She gets along with other cats, isn’t bothered by the resident cavoodles, and occasionally grooms the younger felines (though we suspect it’s just to steal any food caught in their fur).

She’d be the perfect match for older owners—or should we say staff—who respect her independence. Claudia likes to do things her way. She’s not one for being picked up or carried around, but she’ll always be nearby—whether it’s lounging in the doorway, stretching out next to you, or, most importantly, waiting by the food bowl.

Oh, and let’s talk about her signature move—the “splut.” Not sure what that is? Neither were we until Claudia demonstrated it flawlessly. She quite literally becomes one with the floor, melting into it like a pancake (see photos for undeniable proof).

If you happen to walk past without acknowledging her royal presence, don’t be surprised if she bats your leg—a gentle reminder that pats (or snacks) are always welcome. She’s also very particular about her treats, which are hers to enjoy—this is really just for your convenience, so you don’t have to supervise her every move at mealtimes.

We’ve tried separating her at feeding time, but she goes on a hunger strike so dramatic that we fear a small child might be the next victim (kidding… no child has been eaten—yet!).

Claudia is a queen who knows exactly what she wants, and if you’re lucky, she might just choose you.

Claudia will need to be strictly an inside only cat at her new home.

Claudia is in foster care in Newcastle area, NSW. Adoption fee is $150 which includes first vaccination, microchipping and desexing.
