About Ruby
Hi my name is Ruby.
I am a 1 year and 2 month old Shih Tzu x Cavoodle
I will make you laugh out loud every day, with my playful antics and gumby moves. I dare you not to fall in love with me immediately.
My foster mum says that while I'm still young I have lot of energy but its fun energy.
I am full of enthusiasm for every thing life has to offer.
I love to go for walks daily so I would be a awesome walking partner for someone.
I also love having access to a backyard where I can play and ideally would love to have a playful fursiblings to run around with and have some fun.
My foster mum says that I am hilarious when it's walk time as I can get very excited at the prospect of the walk and will turn my self inside out while trying to help you put my harness on.
I love to say hello to everyone on my walk and they all love me, dogs and humans alike. I am walking well on my lead now but can be excitable and need to occasionally be told who is walking whom.
I love a cuddle and will love to sit next to you on the couch.
I also love to share your bed.
I am cat friendly but have been known to want to be their friend - so if you have a cat that doesn't want to be my friend that may not work out.
I have had to learn since coming into care that if there is another dog at the home that I have to be nice and not grumble and groan when they want my humans' lap - ideally if there is another dog at the home, they are happy to share and not mind if I take up my humans lap. We have been working on that my foster mum tells me to mind my manners - I do try!
I’m toilet trained and will let you know when I need to go outside. Think of a baseball player sliding into base. That’s how I make my way to the door and indicate it’s time to go.
I’ve enjoyed meeting children on my walks and have been gentle with them.
I have a coat that does require brushing (yeah okay okay the rescue had to do a few de-shedding sessions on me when I first came into care).
If you are after a really fun loveable companion apply for me now.

Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
