About Maggie
Meet Maggie: Your Perfect Senior Companion
Maggie is a beautiful 12-year-old cat looking for a loving forever home. As a senior cat, Maggie brings a special kind of joy and tranquility that only comes with age and experience. Adopting a senior cat like Maggie means welcoming a pet with a calm demeanor, established habits, and a deep appreciation for a cozy, loving home.
Maggie is happiest as the only feline in the house; she enjoys being the queen of her castle without the company of other cats. Her ideal home would be one without young children, as she prefers a quieter environment where she can relax and find her feet. Maggie loves head scratches and will purr contentedly when given attention and affection.
This lovely lady has a few favorite pastimes: sleeping and eating. Maggie will happily snooze the day away in a sunny spot, and she's always excited for mealtime. She's also quite content to hang out in a safe, enclosed outdoor cat area where she can enjoy fresh air and watch the world go by.
If you're looking for a gentle, loving companion who will cherish your company and bring a sense of calm to your home, Maggie is the perfect choice. Adopting a senior cat like Maggie means providing a loving home to a pet who truly deserves it, and in return, you'll gain a loyal, affectionate friend. Give Maggie the chance to settle in, and you'll find yourself rewarded with endless purrs and a heart full of love.
To book a meet and greet with Maggie please phone 5441-2209 or email barcreception@bendigo.vic.gov.au . Due to the high volume of emails received, enquiries with a request for a specific appointment with phone details included will receive a response as priority over generic applications which state they are interested in meeting an animal.

Adoption details
BARC adoption officers will work with you to help you find a dog or cat that matches your needs, they will discuss things like yard fencing, exercise requirements, other pets and family members, lifestyle factors, and breed experience. To help make this as quick and easy as possible, we ask you complete and adoption questionnaire (located on our website, or you can complete on when you visit). This helps ensure that we are introducing you to the most suitable animals we have available.
We encourage all members of the household to attend a meet and greet with a pet prior to adopting an animal. If the animal being adopted is a dog, we will also require existing dogs in the household to attend the shelter as part of the meet and greet.
Holds can not be placed on animals over the phone, and can only be applied at the discretion of management.
