About Willow
Meet Willow! She is a such a beautiful girl, and has so much love to give when she feels safe and stress free! She absolutely thrives in an environment where her needs can be met, and she isn’t thrown into situations where she doesn’t feel comfortable. 👌
The highlight of her day is going on sniffy adventures with her favourite AINB volunteers and of course, meal times. 👍
She loves the endorphin hit of chewing on a bone in the evenings! It’s been so beautiful to watch her come to life when she’s got access to activities that enable her to feel safe. 🦴
Willow lacks confidence in some situations, particularly around other dogs and some people. We’d love to find her a home where she has access to daily walks in nature and quiet environments. She’s an absolute delight to walk on a loose lead, but only when she has access to a calm environment. We’re still working on giving her positive experiences around other dogs, at a distance she feels comfortable with. We’d love to find her a home who understands her needs and can help her gain confidence without rushing. 🥰
She’d love to live on acreage, but alternatively, regular car rides to quiet places will be right up her alley! 🏡
Willow would be best as an only dog, and isn’t suited to living with cats. We’d also recommend she lives with adults, or teenagers, respectful of large breeds. 🐶
Willow has stayed with trainer Helen (at Building Better Dogs) who was absolutely delighted with her. Upon adoption, the support from trainer Helen and AINB will be continued if needed. This assures her new family of a capable and committed support system on their journey with Willow. 🦮
Willow really is such a special girl, and we know that there’s a special home out there for her! 🧡
Willow will need a home where she can hang out and sleep inside and have an adequately fenced yard. 🏡
Medical notes
Willow has an old injury - a front lower leg fracture. It has fully healed with the vet advising it doesn't cause her pain or other issues. She uses it well, not affecting her daily activities.

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need-Brisbane website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. Our emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
