About Budi
Meet Buddy, a 1-year and 2-month-old Staffy x Kelpie mix who leans more toward his Staffy heritage. This affectionate male has had a tough start to life, coming from a neglectful background. When he arrived at the shelter, Buddy was underweight and very under-socialized, having not seen much of the world or had many positive experiences.
Buddy has made significant strides in his training and socialization since being in the shelter. Initially, he would freeze at the sight of another dog, even from a distance. However, with a dedicated training plan, Buddy has shown remarkable improvement. While he still gets overstimulated and over-aroused at times, he has made great progress and continues to improve every day.
Buddy's ideal home could be as a single dog, although he might be able to live with a well-balanced, tolerant playful dog. He recently had a 20 minute off lead play session with Samson at the shelter which is a big step for little Budi. He may benefit from living with another dog to further his socialisation skills
He is incredibly affectionate and loves to be around people, focusing solely on being with his handler. His endearing nature and love for human companionship make him a wonderful candidate for a loving family.
Buddy will need daily exercise and continued training to help him thrive. If you have the patience and love to give Buddy the support he needs, he will reward you with endless affection and loyalty. Come meet Buddy and see if he's the perfect fit for your family!
