Hello, wonderful humans! My name is Raya, and I am on a quest to find my forever home. Allow me to share a bit about myself so you can understand why I would make the perfect addition to your family.
I am a beautiful Ridgeback x Kelpie so should grow into a larger size med at full growth
First and foremost, I am incredibly cute—at least that's what my family says! Just take a look at my photos and you'll see what they mean. I absolutely adore cuddles, pats, and any form of human contact. However, I must admit that I am a bit shy when I first meet new people. But don’t worry, once I get to know you and build that trust, I will be all over you in the most loving way possible.
Since I have been with my foster family, I have truly blossomed into a beautiful and loving family member. I am very easy to care for; all I really need is to be loved by you. I am house-trained, although I might occasionally have an excited wee in the house when you come home from work. It’s just because I am sooooo happy to see you!
My favorite activities include spending time with you, playing with my soft toys, and running around the yard while throwing my toys in the air. I also enjoy going for walks, although I am not a big fan of putting the lead on. Once we are out and about, I absolutely love it!
When meeting new people, I may come off as shy, but I am very well-behaved. I get along great with children and enjoy meeting other dogs during my travels. If you are willing to give me a pat or a scratch, I am all yours.
I can sit on command, especially when we are on walks or when I am waiting for treats. I am not overly enthusiastic about my food; I prefer to graze on it throughout the day. I am not much of a barker unless there is a good reason for it.
While I am content being on my own outside, I absolutely love it when my family comes home. I am able to entertain myself with my toys or with things I find in the yard that Dad hasn’t put away yet. I am still a pup, so I can get up to occasional mischief, lol.
Inside the home, I am calm but being a pup still need a bit of supervision. As you can see, I have a very short, easy-to-care-for coat. I am toilet trained as long as I’m taken out regularly. I love sleeping inside, whether it’s on my bed, your bed, or just lounging on the floor having a chill time. I do enjoy car trips but have only had short trips to the vet.
My perfect home would be with a family that has older children, as young children might be too much for my timid nature. I need a family that will care for me and understand my needs. A family that will continue my training and help me be the best pooch I can be. I am still a baby, so I have lots to learn and am looking for a committed family to guide me. I would be happy with a male friend who is kind and gentle and not too boisterous.
