BEFORE APPLYING PLEASE NOTE
We as a rescue are extremely aware of just how many 100s of Adult German Shepherds are currently in pounds on a weekly basis due to behavioral issues and poor training causing them to be abandoned.
Based on this knowledge as per our normal process we are extremely careful that we place the right puppies in the correct homes and these puppies will be no different and we are going to be very cautious that these puppies are in absolutely the correct long term homes. German Shepherds require a high level of experience a dedication to training and a committed family to ensuring they are not just left in a backyard to become yet another pound statistic
Favorite things: Zeppelin is a bundle of playful energy wrapped in a fluffy coat. He absolutely adores chasing balls and chewing on toys, making him a perfect companion for active playtime.
Interaction with humans:, Zeppy quickly warms up and loves nothing more than receiving pats and cuddles from anyone willing to give them. His eagerness to please makes him a joy to interact with, whether youâre an adult or a child looking for a furry friend to play with.
Obedience/Training: Already a quick learner, Zepplin has mastered the art of sitting and is well on his way to perfecting commands like fetching a ball and letting go of it. Heâs also making great strides in understanding household rules and has already mastered using the doggy door. This intelligence and willingness to learn mean that with consistent training, Zepplin will grow into a well-behaved and obedient companion. While still getting used to walking on a lead, Zeppelinâs curiosity about the world around him ensures that every walk is an adventure.
Animal Social Skills: Zepplin is a social butterfly who loves rough-and-tumble play with other dogs, including a resident Rottweiler and other breeds like Border Collies and Labradors. He knows when to take a break and find a quiet spot for a nap, showcasing his adaptability and understanding of social cues.
Independence: Zepplin sometimes cries for a short period when left alone but is happy sleeping and chewing on toys, particularly those filled with treats to keep his mind active.
Bathing & Hygiene: Zep has a calm demeanor during baths and his enjoyment of grooming sessions make grooming a breeze.
Sleeping: He has adapted well to sleeping in a crate, which speaks to his growing independence and ability to settle down comfortably at night.
Exercise: While currently enjoying short walks and playtime with other dogs, Zepplin will benefit from daily exercise as he grows. His enthusiasm for play ensures that he gets tired out and ready for a peaceful rest afterward.
Inside the home: As a typical puppy, Zepplin is exploring his world through chewing and play. With a bit of guidance and management, heâs improving in toilet training and learning to keep curious paws away from household items. His love for cozy naps and active play sessions makes him a delightful indoor companion.
