About Debbie
🐾 Debbie 🐾
Debbie, a 7-year-old Greyhound, is eagerly seeking her forever home after her elderly owners had to move into a nursing home. Here's what makes Debbie such a wonderful companion and a unicorn of a dog for so many families:
🌟 Personality: Debbie is very affectionate and loves nudging for more pats. She has an incredibly placid/calm nature and is very laid-back, easy-going, and adaptable.
🐱 Cats and Dogs: While Debbie hasn't been fully tested with cats, she hasn't paid the cats she passes on walks much attention at all and she gets along peacefully with all dogs. She currently coexists comfortably with a Groodle in her temporary home, though isn't overly interested in his attempts to play with her.
👶 Kids: Debbie is a calm presence around high school and late primary-aged children without being overwhelmed by their energy. We imagine she could easily live with younger children too.
🏢🏡 Living Situation: Debbie is used to a house but would likely adapt well to an apartment setting due to her laid-back nature. She loves lounging most of the day and is content without long walks. She would do best with someone who is home more often than not as that's what she's used to. She was initially a bit anxious when left alone in her temporary home, but she's now coping with that and it's working well with her having access to inside and outside when the humans are out.
🚗 She's a relaxed traveler, settling easily during car trips.
If you're searching for a gentle companion who enjoys leisurely walks and lots of love, Debbie could be your ideal match! She hasn't had zoomies since having to leave her old home, so we are eagerly waiting for her to find her new home so she can get her zoomies back.
Debbie is in temporary care in the Sutherland Shire area, in Grays Point. Please enquire to arrange to meet her.

Adoption details
The first step towards adoption is to complete our simple adoption/enquiry form so we can learn more about you and your lifestyle and see if that's a good fit for the pet you have in mind.
Completing the form does not oblige you to proceed any further if you don't wish to.
From there, we can arrange a meet and greet and if satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the founder of the rescue group.
