About Lucy
Meet Lucy š¾ You can't help but smile and laugh around this goofy sweetheart.
Lucy, understood to be a Cane Corso mix, has a heart of gold and is looking for her forever home. She was found abandoned with her sister in the national park and was overlooked for too long in the pound due to her 'cherry eyes'. Now that her 'cherry eyes' have been treated with surgery, she is well and truly ready for her loving family.
š¶ Lucy is medium/large girl with a soft coat. She loves people and dogs alike, making her a social butterfly wherever she goes. She's great in the car, loves the outdoors, and is really up for anything, though she doesn't need long walks - in fact, she'll usually lie down if she feels her walk's gone on too long!
š Affectionate to her core, Lucy would be a wonderful family pet, including for a family with kids. We'd recommend she doesn't live with infants since she can still be a bit goofy with her body and might accidentally knock them over, though there's not a mean bone in her. She'd be fine with a doggy sibling or as a solo dog. She could possibly live with dog-savvy cats - she hasn't shown signs of a prey drive but she would likely chase a cat in play, at least to begin with.
š” At the adoption events she's come along to lately, she's been the utmost lady with her paws crossed in her signature pose. She'll need some further training to help her reach her full potential, but she's already the most fun-loving companion you can imagine who will fill your days with laughter and love.

Medical notes
Lucy has had a couple of surgeries for her 'cherry eyes'. She isn't expected to require any ongoing treatment.
Adoption details
The first step towards adoption is to complete our simple adoption/enquiry form so we can learn more about you and your lifestyle and see if that's a good fit for the pet you have in mind.
Completing the form does not oblige you to proceed any further if you don't wish to.
From there, we can arrange a meet and greet and if satisfactory for all parties the adoption can go ahead.
The perfect home for each individual pet is essential, and the decision about which new home the pet goes to is made by the founder of the rescue group.
