Hello there, my name is Bennie! I'm a 1.5-year-old Dachshund with a heart as big as my ears. My life has been quite sheltered until recently, but I'm ready to share my story and find my forever home.

I've spent all my days with my old owner since I was just a tiny puppy. We've had some wonderful times together, but sadly, she can no longer care for me due to health reasons. It's a big change for me, but I'm staying positive because I know there's someone special out there for me.

You see, I've only recently discovered the joys of grass under my paws! Isn't that something? I've led a quiet life, but now I'm eager to explore more of the world with someone who understands me.

I'm a bit shy around men at first, but with patient introductions, I may just grow to love them!. I really adore women though, and I feel safest around them. I think I'd be happiest as the only dog in the household, or perhaps with a gentle Dachshund lady friend to keep me company.

I'm all set with my vaccinations and I've been neutered, so I'm healthy and ready for new adventures. Cooking is one of my favorite things—especially when it's homemade! The smell of a warm kitchen makes me feel so cozy and loved.

I'm good with well-behaved, respectful children who understand that I'm a little sensitive sometimes. I've never met any cats before, so I'm not quite sure how I feel about them yet. But I'm open to new friendships!

Most of all, I'm incredibly affectionate. I love snuggling up next to you, giving gentle kisses, and just being by your side. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will appreciate every moment with you, I'm your guy.
