This handsome little gentleman is Simo and he's on the lookout for his new forever home.

He was well loved by his previous owner but sadly they had a change in relationship status and living situation and could not longer look after him. So they made the tough decision to find him a new home. He has come from a loving household and adores human company.

Simo is very sweet, very gentle, very affectionate and very loving. He absolutely adores human company and would suit anyone wanting to add some love and life to their household. Particularly if want a kitty who like's to sleep under the doona with you.

He also has a very quirky personality that will keep you amused always. Simo loves clothing baskets so if you can't find him that's where he will be, either having a nap of keeping himself amused. He also really likes heights, sitting on stairs and watching you from a height. He spends a lot of time sleeping on the head rests of the lounge or any sort of height where he can watch over his kingdom.

Simo also loves to play fetch with hair ties. He will literally run up to you with a hair tie in his mouth, drop it at your feet and then stare at you until you throw it. Then he will run off all super happy, bring it back and then stare at you until you throw it again. It's sooooooo adorable.

Simo absolutely loves his Trilogy salmon dry cat food and can be a bit fussy if you decide to change things up. He really likes the fish variety or salmon and Tuna in particular. He has never got the concept of eating chicken necks or raw chicken.

He rarely scratches furniture and uses a scratching post regularly. He also likes the crystal cat litter, but any is fine. He is also a very vocal cat and if you mimic his sounds he will literally talk back to you. You can have your own little conversation.

He is used to getting his nails clipped and isn't too hard to get medications into if you use a towel to swaddle him. But if you come near him with a towel in your hand, he knows exactly what's happening next and may disappear. He hates his cat carrier :(

But when he's relaxed his super smoochy side comes out and he's all cuddles. Simo loves to sleep on your chest or on your knees, or if you have a puffy jacket lying around that smells like you he will make himself at home on that.

Like most cats Simo likes to follow you around and keep an eye on you to see what you're up to. He is a bit of a fiend with no bathroom or toilet privacy, he will be there watching over you or saying hello.

Simo is approximately 7.5 years old and has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and is available for adoption right meow.

Urban Feline Australia is a newly established cat rescue service, run by one passionate individual with the help of friends and volunteers, that is dedicated to keeping cats out of kill shelters and helping them find loving forever homes. We specialize in helping "surrenders" which are cats that have lived with humans previously but for one reason or another their owners are unfortunately no longer able to look after them. We take your pets into our amazing cat sanctuary where they're treated with love and affection until the right forever home is found for them.

Urban Feline Australia is not a large company with government resources, a large facility and a lot of staff. Our tiny rescue is a one man operation run from the safety of our own home. We do this for the love of animals and our only agenda is to save as many cats as we can. We rely heavily on cooperation from friends, other rescues, our amazing foster carers and the kindness of strangers to survive. Every cent we receive from donations and adoption fees is used to keep our rescue running and cover the cost of food, water, litter, equipment and vet bills for the animals in our care.

We are doing as much as we can right now but our dream is to one day be able to purchase a larger property or facility that would allow us to be able to save the lives of many more cats in need. Perhaps even open a cat cafe so that we can spread our message to a wider audience.
