About Delores
All About Me and My Unique Personality:
Meet Delores (we call her Tuxe) a delicate and gentle 2-year-old female cat who, though quite shy, has a heart full of love waiting to be discovered. Her soft, velvety coat and soulful eyes reflect her tender and reserved nature. She might take a little time to come out of her shell, but her quiet grace and subtle charm make her a truly special companion.
Delores is a shy and introspective cat who appreciates a calm and peaceful environment. When she feels safe, she enjoys gentle pets and will purr softly, showing her appreciation for the quiet moments of connection. She enjoys finding cozy, secluded spots where she can observe her surroundings from a safe distance. Over the past 7 months that she’s been with us, she’s made amazing progress & now seeks us out to play with her and most importantly, for affection from us. She thrives in a quiet environment where she can explore at her own pace and have plenty of cozy nooks to retreat to. Her gentle demeanor makes her well-suited for someone who appreciates a calm and tranquil presence in their home.
Though Delores is shy, she gets along with male cats and can coexist peacefully with them, provided they respect her space. In my home she is being enticed out of her shell by my laid-back male cat and he is teaching her to play and enjoy toys. She has also been spending time with some 3-month-old kittens and loving her play time with them. She has learned to trust us and now comes looking for pats and attention, which is very rewarding.
If you’re looking for a gentle, shy, and quietly loving feline friend, Delores is the perfect choice. With patience and love, Delores will learn to trust you and blossom into a cherished member of your family.
My Ideal Home:
Delores would suit a quieter home and if you have a chilled out male cat that would make a great companion, even better! She needs her new owners to take the time to allow her to come out of her shell when she feels safe to do so. Teenagers who are gentle and quiet would be fine.
What is Known About My Background:
Delores came from the pound. She was very reactive to a hand trying to pat her & would cower but as she has learned to trust us, and we have learned how to approach her in a non threatening way ... she is now beginning to seek us out for some playtime and smooches.
How Do I Interact with Kids, Dogs, Cats and Other Pets:
Delores should be fine with older, gentle teenagers as she has a very shy and cautious nature. She gets along with male cats but has not met a dog yet. She is currently in foster care in a home with a chilled out male cat and she is loving the companionship.
