About Boston
Introducing Boston, a seven years and nine months old German Shepherd/Husky cross who could be the perfect addition to your family. Don't let his mixed breed status fool you. This captivating blend has him carrying the positive attributes of both breeds - the intelligence and devotion of a German Shepherd paired with the playful and loving nature of a Husky. Both elegant and friendly, this 33-kilo gentleman is desexed, fully immunised, and ready to shower his new family with unconditional love.
Boston is an obedient canine at heart, acknowledging the authority of his family with patience and respect. He sits politely until given the command to eat and takes food ever so gently from your hand. Known for his soft spot for stuffed toys, Boston fondly collects different plushies, going as far as carrying them around and even sleeping with them. At times, it's almost as if he sees these inanimate objects as his treasured companions.
Boston shows particular affection for children, displaying an exceptional level of tolerance, even around toddlers. He's a confident and sturdy playmate for older kids as well, making him the ideal family dog. However, Boston prefers to have human company around as he tends to stress if left alone for long periods, therefore, he would blossom in a household where someone works from home or is often present.
Currently located in the Canberra area, Boston is ready to travel cross country to Victoria, NSW, or Sydney to find his new family. He will arrive fully-equipped with his personalised doona bed and precious toy collection, already on tick and flea control and regularly wormed.

Adoption details
We have an Adoptions Manager who screens all prospective candidates as to their suitability to adopt a German Shepherd Dog.
We try to contact every one by phone but if that isn't successful we will email our application form to you, which needs to be completed and returned, or you can call us back and we can chat and complete for you. We will also ask you to provide photos of your yard and fencing to enable us to see where the dog will be kept and that they have areas of shade and shelter.
All our dogs are ready to go to their new home, so when you enquire about a dog you must be in a position to take them into your home. We are unable to hold a dog while you fix your fences or go on holiday, etc.
The successful candidate who adopts one of our dogs is provided with an information kit, ongoing support, training and advice on all aspects of feeding, training and general assistance to ensure both the new owner and our rescued dog settle into their home.
