About Diesel
Are you wanting a gorgeous elderly gentleman to steal your heart and probably your seat!
Please meet Diesel – a gorgeous 11 year old and 8 month Toy Poodle furbaby that will put a smile on your face with his love for life
Because he is a small fluffy dogs we will let you know he is one 'of those’ that means he would prefer someone who is home more often than not, works for home, is retired – you get the picture he is a lap dog!
Diesel would like to be with his person 24/7 - he is very well trained and has lovely manners - he will follow you where you go, in the house or out doing errands etc.
Diesel's favorite past time is playing fetch (he does not know his age when it comes to fetch) and is a very enthusiastic chaser after the ball and with impeccable manners will bring it back and place in front of your feet - no wrestling of the ball and no doggy slobber
Diesel is currently living with other dogs of all shapes and sizes, he will be fine with another one or two dogs but too many will overwhelm him and make him nervous.
Diesel would be best suited for an older dog (not a puppy).
Diesel will be your little shadow even when you mow the yard. Diesel is definitely chilled and loves cuddling on the couch – however will get up and follow you when you do things and never leave your side.
He loves exploring outside in the yard and going for walks, honestly he loves life and is active but then also very happy to be a couch potato with you.
Diesel loves to go to the beach for a explore and of course a game of fetch.
Diesel did come into care needing some dental work done, and the rescue has completed this. He is great with food and will happily take treats as well.
Diesel ’s foster mum says he is so full of love and is a happy boy and of course a handsome boy!
Diesel is not tested with cats
Diesel does have a coat that requires grooming so please keep this in mind when applying as it’s an ongoing expense.
Diesel is toilet trained
Diesel is good with kids as they are happy to play fetch with him, but young kids may be a bit much for him.
Diesel loves to sleep on the bed with his humans and picks a corner and sleeps the night thru.

Adoption details
Paw Prints Canine Rescue is a non for profit dog rescue located in Southeast Queensland.
All our dogs leave our care with full vet work (up-to-date vaccinated, microchipped, desexed, heart worm and intestinal wormed and flea treated).
Please note - They will not leave for their new homes until they are 12 weeks of age and have been desexed, micro-chipped and vaccinated up to date.
Please note - we are not a pound or have kennels - all our dogs stay in foster carers homes and therefore dogs are not able to be simply viewed - only approved applicants will meet the dogs.

Once an adoption enquiry is completed our admin team will assess the application and if successful we will arrange for a meet and greet to be completed. We may also request photos of your yard for consideration of your application. Please note that we will do no more than 3 meet and greets per dog.
Approved applicants will be contacted to arrange a time for a meet & greet via email. You must bring your current dog along to the meeting if you are meeting another dog/puppy, this is to ensure they get along before commencing adoption - proof of your dogs up-to-date vaccination is required before any meet and greet is arranged.
Our adoption fee must be cleared in our bank account before any animal is available for pick up. Please note we bank with ANZ - any other bank may take 48 hours to process the monies.
Paw Prints Canine Rescue has a 10 day trial period – this basically means that if for any reason the adoption does not work out and the dog needs to be returned to us, the adoption fee minus an admin fee (minimum is $250) will be returned to the adoptees via bank transfer within 7 working days.
Please note that if an interstate adoption needs to be returned or regional adoption all transport cost with be paid by the adopter.
Please also note while this can be a very exciting time for everyone, it can also be an overwhelming time for dogs and we ask that you do try and allow your new family member to settle in their new home and adjust
INTERSTATE ADOPTIONS **
Any transport costs are to be paid by the adopting family, however we can assist you in helping with transport to airports etc.
** Please note some of our dogs are not available for interstate adoption
AFTER THE TRIAL PERIOD
After the 10 day trial period is completed Paw Prints Canine will send out all relevant paperwork for your new furbaby via email including the transfer of microchip form.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
