About Callie
Introducing Callie!
Callie is a domestic short hair, born approx 17th April 2015.
Cats like Callie would generally be classed as a "barn cat" who prefers an independent lifestyle patrolling the property for mice & rats, however we've found Callie to be more dependant on and interactive with humans than the usual barn cat.
She's a piggy with her food and we've found this to be a helpful tool during our socialising sessions with her.
Callie is also incredibly playful and can often be spotted throwing balls & stuffed mice for herself when she's in her enclosure. If you'd like to play with her, she's also quite partial to the feather wand toys which have a tendency to turn her into a playful kitten again.
Callie doesn't mind a gentle pet, however she mostly enjoys her personal space, which needs to be respected. As she is an older girl who hasn't had much human interaction before coming to us, we feel she is fairly set in her ways and will (most likely) never become a lap cat.
Callie will need to be the only animal at home, as she can self harm when other cats are around.
Callie is desperately looking forward to finding her forever home, life in a cage just doesn't suit her at all.
Callie will be rehomed to a family who will keep her as an indoor cat only.
Callie's adoption fee is $50.00 and includes her desexing and lifetime registration.
Callie is also regularly treated for flea and worms and is up to date with her vaccinations.

Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
