About Sabine

Lovely little Sabine is 5.5 years old and was found as a stray, no-one came forward for this darling girl, and she now finds herself homeless and desperate for a forever family to show her unconditional love.
Sabine is a little love-bug, she absolutely adores meeting new people and will pull to everyone close out on a walk, she just loves attention and affection. Sabine is very cuddly and will push her head into your lap for a pat and scratch, we can just tell this girl has maximum couch and bed snuggling potential!
Sabine has been very overstimulated in the shelter environment, and currently isn’t showing that she has much of the way in manners. Sabine will jump up for attention, and snatches treats out of excitement, she will need to be taught manners and given boundaries by her new family, we know she will pick things up with time and plenty of patience, she just needs to be taught how. For now, Sabine is best suited to a home with children over the age of 8 years old, and who have experience with large breed dogs.
Sabine is a long-stock coat German Shepherd, currently her coat is quite matted, she will need regular professional grooming and brushing to maintain her luscious locks and keep her feeling her best.
Sabine LOVES food, she would sell her soul for a piece of Kabana or some roast chicken and is keen to learn new things and engage with her people, right now she is too stressed to focus for too long and needs to decompress and establish a routine so that she can settle and put her brain to use! Sabine needs to work on her leash manners, she follows her nose and pulls to meet new people, the outside world is new and exciting, she pulls to go on her next adventure. Sabine would benefit from regular training so that she can learn to engage and focus on her people when out walking.
Sabine is very conflicted with other dogs, she becomes quite frustrated and fixated whenever they are around and is unsure how to react, Sabine gets over-aroused and will bark, lunge and make a big scene to voice her frustration. Sabine has had some small positive interactions with other dogs, when given the time to calm down and when suitable matched, she has been able to make dog friends. Sabine will need to slowly work on getting closer to other dogs and reducing her critical distance before she becomes too focused on them, this will not be a quick fix and something that needs to be worked on over time. For now, Sabine needs to keep her distance from other animals and will need to be the only pet in her new home.
Sabine is a funny, quirky girl that will steal your heart instantly, not only does she have the looks, but the personality to match, and is up for endless fun. Sabine loves soft toys and will gallop around the room playing keepings off when she has a treasured toy and wants to play! Sabine would love to be included as part of the family, being allowed inside with access to a big secure yard so that she can play and “help you” with the chores, she would love to have her humans around more often than not.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
Mature (1 year to 6 years) - $600
Senior (7 years plus) - $350
