Beautiful 6-year-old Zahra finds herself looking for a forever home so that she can stay safe. Zahra lives on a rural property and has suddenly started chasing kangaroos, cornering one big male in particular at a dam in recent times. Zahra is putting herself in danger, with no fencing, and not wanting to Zahra to spend life on a chain, Zahra’s owner has asked for our help to find her a more suitable home.
Zahra is a people dog, once she trusts you, she is incredibly affectionate and loving, the most loyal companion. Zahra loves to sleep on the bed and cuddle up with her humans, she is a true German Shadow that will follow you around everywhere. Zahra can be a little nervous when meeting new people at first, after an initial bark, once introduced to new people, she laps up all the attention she can get. On occasion, Zahra has interacted with small children and enjoys their company, having them dote on her.
Zahra is the perfect age, she knows how to be calm and chill out, but is still very active and loves to play, a good game of fetch and hikes are her favourite pass-time. Zahra would love an active family that will include her in adventures and play with her, she has decent recall (unless she sees a kangaroo). Zahra knows her basic commands and would love to learn more, partaking in short, frequent sessions with her family will keep her brain stimulated and her manners up to scratch.
Zahra lives in a very isolated area, and as a result hasn’t come across many dogs in recent times other than the other dog she currently lives with. Zahra will likely need slow integration into meeting and socialising with other dogs on a regular basis. Zahra may be able to live with a large-breed male dog but would also be happy as the only dog in her new home.Zahra likes to chase small animals and kangaroos, she is looking for a home without cats, livestock or other small pets.
Zahra will need secure fencing in her new home, she would ideally live in a quieter area that isn’t too busy as this will be a big change from her living in the middle of nowhere. Zahra is used to having someone home most of the time, she would love this in her new home also, she is happiest when she is by her human’s side.
Zahra is looking for someone special that can love and spoil her, making her the centre of attention and someone’s whole world, she is a typical needy German Shepherd that loves to love and will be sure to tell you all about it. This beautiful girl would suit someone looking for a ‘fur baby’ that can give Zahra all the attention and affection she desires.

Adoption details
We offer a 'Foster to Adopt' program. This means that the dog will go to live with their adoptive family for 4 weeks to ensure it is the perfect match for both the dog and new family. After the 4 weeks is complete, if all has gone well, the adoption is formalised and your new doggy companion is officially yours!
If you are interested in adopting from us, we ask that you fill out the Adoption Application form on our website (via the link provided below) with as much detail as possible, including the name of the dog you are interested in.
We do not rehome female dogs to a home where there is an existing female dog. Whilst there are always exceptions, it is generally unwise to have two females together; two males can sort it out, a male and a female can sort it out, but when two females fight, the results can be disastrous. For this reason, following the advice from numerous Veterinary behaviourists, as well as our own experience from the last eight years, we do not rehome females into homes with other female dogs.
All of our dogs are de-sexed, vaccinated, microchipped, flea and worm treated
Puppies (2 months to 4 months) - $1000
Puppies (4 to 6 months) - $800
Adolescents (6 months to 1 year) - $700
