About David Hopperfield
Meet David Hopperfield,
D-Hops is a unique little bun. We have had our fair share of bunnies come through the door at the ACF but none quite like David! David is a lovely, gentle & sweet boy. He is quite friendly, happy, outgoing & smart!
He’s a chilled-out bun compared to some we have had in the past, chilled out so much so that he is known to fall asleep when being held, or just by being petted in general…
D-Hops is confident, curious and playful & he loves to play with the toys in his hutch. He is a social bun who enjoys the company of his human friends, he loves to engage with us every day. David loves to cuddle & snuggle.
David Hopperfield is suitable for first time bunny owners or those with experience and he is suitable to any household environment. David is open to meet kids of any age as he loves to play & interact & would make a great friend for any child! David likes to be picked up, carried & cuddled & loves to be petted – where? Everywhere! David even likes to be placed on his back, feet up in the air, with a good belly rub as he drifts off for a nap…
D-Hops could easily be house trained & is the type of bun that could happily live inside the home full time. On the off chance he were to be outside he will need a safe & secure hutch. Somewhere out of the sun with plenty of shade. A place that is comfortable & cool for the warmer months, & warm & cozy for the cooler months.
As for litter training, David has shown us that he has great potential to be litter trained, but some guidance & support at the start would be beneficial for him.
As we cannot test in this environment, we are unsure if David has previously lived with other pocket pets, cats or dogs - this would be up to the discretion of his new owner.
D-Hops energy needs are medium as he is sometimes playful. David plays with toys & his favourites are plastic barrel or plastic ball toys with bells in them. He loves to pick them up with his mouth & throw them behind him.
Staff Comments: David Hopperfield is a great, all-round bunny for first time bunny owners. He loves pats, attention and enjoys playing with running around. He loves to be part of what’s going on around him. He would be an excellent Netflix & snooze partner.

With all animals it’s important to understand that going into a new environment with new people may not be as flawless as we want it to be. It’s important to know that these animals have unknown histories. Most left in the shelter by their owners. The information we receive is from observing the animal’s behaviours & reactions to certain stimuli whilst in our care. Adopted animals can take up to 3 months to properly decompress from post-shelter life & a lot of behaviours & quirks will surface during this time. All that we ask is that their new owners have an open mind & are patient.
So please keep in touch with us after adoption so that we can help you settle your new family member in and address any unexpected behaviours.
The adoption fee for dogs covers C3 vaccination, health check, heartworm testing, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
The adoption fee for cats covers F3 vaccination, health check, desexing, micro-chipping, and registration.
