About Toothless STA012106
Introducing Toothless, a lovely feline with a quirky sense of humor reflected in his name. Don't let the name fool you, though—he’s fully equipped with a purr-fect set of teeth!
Toothless is timid and nervous initially, but with patience and understanding, there is a wonderfully gentle soul underneath. He requires a little more time than most to feel comfortable but believe us when we say, the wait is worth it. Once he comes out of his shell, Toothless enjoys playful engagement and has a lot of love to give.
He is ideally suited to a serene home where there are no children or canines. He longs for peace and quiet, maybe accompanied by some gentle classical music, which will allow his timid personality to shine bright. In these ideal conditions, Toothless will become the best cat that he can be.
Moreover, Toothless must have a confident and friendly mentor cat to guide him and help ease his anxiety. His relationship with another cat can serve as an inspiration for future interactions and further integration into his new family.
In summary, Toothless is looking for a quiet, loving, and patient owner who, with some time and understanding, can help him increase his confidence and enjoy his cat life to the fullest.
From his Foster Home
Absolutely needs a mentor cat, would appreciate one he could play with. He’s still uncertain around people moving around, so a low activity, definitely low noise, house is best. He would be very happy in a house where the human is away a lot for work, etc. He does enjoy snuggling on the bed at night, and is very quiet and well behaved. He’s perfect for someone who’s out a lot and just wants some passive company at night, with zero problems to come home to. He very much needs a feline companion though and will not improve or thrive without one.
Medical notes
No known pre-existing conditions.
Adoption details
Simply note the ID number and the cats name and visit our hostel at 200 Elder Street in Greensborough. Alternatively you can call the hostel on 8457 6500. We are currently open Mon-Fri 10am-4pm / Sat-Sun 10am-3pm.
You should bring proof of your current address and preferably photo identification such as your driving license. You can only adopt a cat for yourself we do not allow animals to leave with third parties. If you are wishing to adopt a cat as a present for someone, bring them with you as cats are individuals and bond with different people in different ways, the cat you may choose, may not choose your friend! It is also important to allocate time for adoption and we recommend you allow at least a couple of hours to get to know the cat and do the necessary paperwork.
When you visit you will get to meet the cat and as this is a very important decision for both you and the cat you choose we will want to ensure the two of you are compatible and that you understand what will be involved in taking the cat into your home.
We will want to be satisfied that you are prepared to be a responsible pet owner. Responsible pet owners at the most basic level, have their pets registered, micro-chipped and de-sexed unless they are registered breeders. They also understand the issues involved in being able to properly care and take responsibility for the welfare of their pets. Most Councils in Victoria have limits on the numbers of cats you may own without a permit. It is important to check with your Council if you already own the limit and obtain a permit for the extra cat before adoption. We will require to see your permit.
We will answer any questions you have regarding cat care and help you to obtain any support you may need.
